Richard Doelger, MD
Dr. Doelger is a Texas native who earned his MD from Ross University School of Medicine following advanced degrees at UT San Antonio. While his early career was defined by contributions to immunology research, his desire for direct patient advocacy led him to pursue clinical medicine. He believes in building strong therapeutic relationships by taking a relational approach to medicine and treating the whole patient, not just the diagnosis. In his off-hours, he stays sharp through running and tennis and finds relaxation in the technical complexities of car mechanics.
Brian Ferguson, DO
Hello I am Brian Ferguson. I was born in Dallas Texas and got my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at University of Texas at Arlington. I received my medical degree at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine in San Antonio. I am a believer in osteopathic manipulative medicine and hope to learn as much as I can from the DeTar Family Medicine Residency Program. Outside of medicine, I enjoy doing Olympic weightlifting, driving around in my miata, hiking and watching hockey.

Thanh Tam Ann Nguyen, DO
Hello! The name is Thanh Tam but I go by Tammy! I was born and raised in San Antonio Texas and graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word for both undergrad and medical school. I’ve always wished to be a traditional full spectrum doctor, so Detar’s unopposed program aligns just right with my goals! In addition, I’m also very passionate about preventive medicine and OMM, and hope to get more skillful at it in the long term. Outside of medicine, if I’m not spending time with my family, I love to lift heavy weights, read books, draw, and listen to podcasts!
